Vote No on the Minnesota Legacy Amendment

According to the folks at Vote Yes! Minnesota:

"This November 4th, you have a chance to invest in the Minnesota you love. The Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment will provide funding for clean water, game and wildlife habitat, arts and parks and trails. 40% of our lakes and rivers are polluted. Minnesota is set to lose one million acres of open space in the next 25 years. We can change this. We have a once in a lifetime opportunity to make sure that we invest and protect in our state, passing it on to future generations."

This is a rhetorical pronouncement worthy of even Obama himself; all flourish and no substance.

While the goals sound laudable - do you know anyone not in favor of clean water? - the process is flawed and based upon groundless facts. For instance, 100% of our lakes have not been tested for pollution so how do these folks figure 40% are polluted. Going one step further, how do they define pollution?

The Legacy Amendment allows the taxpayers of Minnesota the privilege of taxing themselves. Heaven knows our DFL legislature does a darned good job of this without our help. We are being asked to raise "the sales and use tax rate beginning July 1, 2009, by three-eighths of one percent on taxable sales until the year 2034?". While this may seem like a small amount for an individual, it does add up to hundreds of millions of dollars.

What we are really being told is that our elected officials are incapable of doing their jobs, that given half a chance they would vote to reallocate the funds to pay for their pet projects and massive give away programs. There is precedent for this concern: when the Lottery was approved, a set percentage was to be allocated by law to the Department of Natural Resources. However, our elected leaders saw fit to amend the intent of the law and divert the funds to the General Funds pool. (They stole from Peter to pay Paul.)

So because these trough feeding polpigs can not stop themselves from spending every penny they see, we are being asked to tax ourselves and provide the protection of our state Constitution for the money. And in the process, they big spenders are protected from having to vote on the record for give aways to the arts and other controversial issues. What a sweet heart deal for the politicians. Do their job for them and save them from having to vote on the record.

Minnesota is blessed with a wonderful outdoor heritage that deserves our protection but not this way. This is the Idiot Politician Protection.

Stand up and vote No and tell your elected officials to do their jobs and vote on the record. Better still vote No and send the current batch of thieves home.

While the race baiting from Obama is alarming, what is really perplexing and bizarre is his contention that he must save the black race to assure his own personal salvation. And just how is he going to do this: by redistributing the wealth of this country, by taking from those who work and pay taxes and giving to those who live off of the labors of others.

It is truly sad that so much of this information has not come out before now. All of the items such as this one are available to the public with a minimum amount of effort and access to Google and yet mainstream media does not seem to be able to locate this material. Or could it be that mainstream media is indeed actively working to elect Obama?

Medicare Cuts
Recent Obama ads claim that McCain will cut medicare benefits and make elgibility more difficult. The same ads claim that McCain's plans would result in "higher premiums and co-pays," and more expensive prescription drugs".

According to factcheck.org, these ads are totally false (that's the polite way of saying that Obama is lying).

This particular tactic, scaring senior citizens, is pretty much standard practice for liberal candidates. Hopefully America's seniors have grown weary of politcians playing these games and telling these lies.

Is Obama a socialist?
Much ado has been made about claims that Obama's policies are socialist in nature and intent. It has also been claimed that Obama himself at one point belonged to a socialist political party, the New Party. Of course Obama and the msm have denied that he was ever a member of the New Party and defended his policies as the best thing since sliced bread.

Obama's Global Poverty Act: Yet Another Sellout Of The American People

Just when we thought it couldn't get any worse, Barack Obama and his pals prove me wrong. This time Obama has introduced a Senate bill that basically forces the citizens of the US to pay taxes to the UN in order to fight global poverty.

Legislation would aim to cut extreme global poverty in half by 2015

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senators Barack Obama (D-IL), Chuck Hagel (R-NE) and Maria Cantwell (D-WA) have introduced the Global Poverty Act (S.2433), which requires the President to develop and implement a comprehensive policy to cut extreme global poverty in half by 2015 through aid, trade, debt relief, and coordination with the international community, businesses and NGOs. Representatives Adam Smith (D-WA) and Spencer Bachus (R-AL) sponsored the House version of the bill (H.R. 1302), which passed the House in September. [READ MORE]

On the surface this sounds like yet another liberal plan to liberate more of your hard earned money and redistribute it to the rest of the world. As if American and her citizens are not already one of, if not the leading sources of foreign aide and charity, we are now being told that we will be responsible for solving global poverty.

In the minds of some this may seem like a wonderful objective and worthy project. Helping out fellow man is always a good thing but in this case the devil is in the details.

Have you ever heard of the "Millennium Development Goal"? Given the complete inadequacy of mainstream media when it comes to reporting real news, I would not be surprised if you had not heard of the UN's "Millennium Development Goal". In a nutshell:

The "Millennium Development Goal" refers to a United Nations declaration adopted by the U.N. Millennium Assembly and Summit in 2000 that calls for "the eradication of poverty" by "redistribution (of) wealth and land," cancellation of "the debts of developing countries" and "a fair distribution of the earth's resources." The IBD reports that "The Millennium project is monitored by Jeffrey D. Sachs, a Columbia University economist. In 2005 he presented then-U.N. secretary general Kofi Annan with a 3,000-page report based on the research of 265 so-called poverty specialists. "Sachs' document criticized the U.S. for giving only $16.5 billion a year in global anti-poverty aid. He argued that we should spend an additional $30 billion a year in order to reach the 0.7% target that the U.N. set for the U.S. in 2000....Sachs said that the only way to force the U.S. to commit that much money is by a global tax, such as a tax on fossil fuels [oil, coal, natural gas]." The tax would be imposed not only on their production, but on their use, as well. Among other consequences, Americans would be impoverished for the purpose of reducing poverty abroad by 0.7 percent of the U.S.'s gross domestic product(emphasis added).

The Millennium declaration, reports IBD, also calls for a "currency transfer tax," a "tax on the rental value of land and natural resources," a "royalty on worldwide fossil energy production - oil, natural gas, coal," "fees for the commercial use of the oceans, fees for airplane use of the skies, fees for use of the electromagnetic spectrum, fees on foreign exchange transactions, and a tax on the carbon content of fuels." Maybe I misread the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Articles of Confederation and the Federalist Papers but nowhere in these the founding documents upon which our republic is based did I ever read of any condition under which America or her citizens would be allowed to be dictated to by by an unelected, arguably anti-American organization such as the UN.

Maybe we are as dumb as the liberals, socialists and mainstream media think we are? We keep getting slapped in the face with examples of socialist policy and yet seem prepared to either elect Obama as President, sit out the election to punish republicans, or to throw away votes on some third party candidate with absolutely no chance of winning.

We listen to flowing, almost lyrical rhetoric that says nothing but we don't ask questions.

We seem to be allowing an obviously biased mainstream media to tell us what to think and not think while we just nod and do what we're told like good little puppets.

We listen to talking heads tell us that anyone not supporting Obama is a racist and we don't stand up and defend ourselves.

We have questioned whether John McCain has the 'stones' to defend himself against the attacks and lies of the left. Perhaps the question should be do we the people have the 'stones' to defend our great republic?

There are times I wonder.

Sen. Joe Biden has once again given us a reason to question the wisdom of elected Barack Obama to be our President and leader of the free world.

ABC News' Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.

"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy." [READ MORE]

Sen. Biden continues:

"I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate," Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. "And he's gonna need help. And the kind of help he's gonna need is, he's gonna need you - not financially to help him - we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right."

Let me see if I understand what Sen biden is telling us.

1. If we elect Obama, there WILL BE an international crisis within six months.

2. The handling of the situation will be questioned and Obama's support will dwindle.

Is this the "Change" that Obama is going to bring about? Personally, I am still searching trying to find out just what "change" Obama is going to make and not finding any answers unless you consider taking my even more tax dollars from the middle class and giving that money away as entitlements to those who don't work.

Folks, particularly those who are either planning to vote for Obama or, worse yet, thinking about sitting out the election: please think about what you are doing, who you are supporting and what the longterm cost to America will be. Put aside party politics and think of the country first.

95% of Americans will get a tax cut - two problems with this: tax credits are not tax cuts and 38% of Americans already do not pay any federal taxes.

The failed policies of the Bush administration have caused the current financial meltdowns - Presidents propose items BUT Congress writes, debates and passes legislation.

For a people to remain free, a free press is an essential part of the equation. The people must be able to have faith in the news as it is reported and must be able to believe that the news is being presented fairly and without bias. Only through a free press can the majority of Americans obtain the information necessary to make an informed decision.

But what happens when the so-called Free Press goes in the tank for one political faction at the expense of unbiased and fair reporting? What happens when the so-called free press reports lies time and again presenting it as unvarnished truth? The answer should be obvious: the decisions of the people are tainted and distorted by the lies.

MSM in America is for all intents operating as an extension of the Democrat party and the Obama campaign. The evidence of this surrounds us, any person of reasonable intelligence can easily find examples. For instance, would a truly free press pay so little attention to rampant accusations of voter fraud on a national scale or actively work to hide corruption of elected officials such as Rep. Tim Mahoney (D-Fla.)?

Whether you agree or not that MSM is in the tank, really doesn't matter. But what does matter is that you block out the hype, the lies, the glitter and the bull excrement and think for yourself and that you do let yourself be manipulated by the politicians and media.

Just as freedom of the press carries responsibilities, so does being a free man or woman. Our freedom has been paid for in the blood of our ancestors and it is our duty to assure that we not only defend our freedom but that we also use it wisely. Do your own digging for information. Listen to all points. Ask questions. Don't be pressured into accepting lies even when you know the lie could not possibly be true. Don't let the fear of being called a racist impact your logical decision.

Stand up as free men and women America. Vote based upon your personal, logical conclusion what ever that may be, and not based on emotions.

Voting by emotion is fine for American Idol but electing a President of the United States should be done with a clear head and logic.

Franken's Anger Management Problem

One of the hottest Senatorial races is right here in good ol Minnesota, the LAnd were nothing is allowed. Not only do we have a hot race, we have a democrat/liberal candidate who continues to show himself to be a hotheaded dork unable to control his own anger.

Al Franken Angrily Rushes Senator Coleman After Debate, Media Cameras Miss it

Al Franken has shown himself to be an angry, easily enraged man and after the October 16 Minnesota Senatorial candidate's debate he allowed his overwrought emotional state to send him over the edge once again. After the debate was over and the Media had turned off their microphones and cameras, Franken rushed over to Senator Norm Coleman's table and proceeded to angrily get in his face over some point or another made during the debate. Franken was getting so angry that his own wife had to rush over and force him to back off from a mounting confrontation with Coleman.

This isn't the only time that Al Franken has allowed his seemingly delicately balanced temperament to be tipped to unseemly anger. In fact, he's allowed himself to be driven to physical violence in the past. In 2004, for instance, Franken tackled a disruptive LaRouchie at a Howard Dean speech. He has also been known to get into shouting matches with rally attendees and opponents alike. Not to mention his past usage of intemperate or profane language and mean-spirited use of ridicule in his comedy routines and during his radio shows when he was an Air-America host.

Does Character Matter? Ask the Founders

There are countless reports of relationships Barack Hussein Obama has maintained through his climb up the political ladder. Racist preachers, unrepentant terrorists such as William Ayers and other members of the Weather Underground and even Mr. Resko, a convicted criminal. There is enough evidence, all very easily found with just a few minutes spent with Google, that one would think that Americans would be resoundingly rejecting Obama. And yet, many Americans seem to think that either past associations don't matter or are confused as to why these past relationships should matter.

The obvious answer to why the past associations matter is that they help to show the character of the person, in this case Obama. But rather than take my word for it, take a few minutes to read the words of some folks who risked everything, including their lives, to form this great nation.

Thomas Jefferson: "It is the manners and spirit of a people which preserve a republic in vigor. A degeneracy in these is a canker which soon eats to the heart of its laws and constitution... If a nation expects to be ignorant---and free---in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be... The whole art of government consists in the art of being honest. Only aim to do your duty, and mankind will give you credit where you fail... An honest man can feel no pleasure in the exercise of power over his fellow citizens."

John Adams: "Children should be educated and instructed in the principles of freedom... If we suffer [the minds of young people] to grovel and creep in infancy, they will grovel all their lives... We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. They Must Think We Are Stupid

Obama, the Democrats and the lapdogs in Mainstream Media (MSM) must think that we the people are stupid. They must think that the louder they shout their lies, the more likely we are to believe them.

The primary reason for this so-called financial crisis that we are being forced to pay for is the actions of Democrats in Congress. It was the Democrats that mandated the giving of subprime mortgages to people who could not afford even to make one payment much less pay off the mortgage. And folks, this includes illegal criminal aliens.

I ask again: just how stupid do Barack Hussein Obama, the Democrats and Mainstream Media think we are?

When Is A "Tax Cut" Really Income Redistribution?

Frustrated by McCain's unwillingness to directly question Barry Obama's claim that he would give 95% of taxpayers a tax cut, we decided to, in our own small way, to do so ourselves.

The statistics speak for themselves. Only 62 percent of Americans pay federal income tax, meaning that 38 percent get a 100 percent refund of any taxes withheld. So Mr. Obama's 95 percent that will receive money from the government includes roughly 33 percent of Americans who pay no income tax. One-third of Americans pay no income taxes yet would receive a government check of perhaps $1,000 or more. [READ MORE]

Read the above very carefully folks. 38% of Americans already receive a 100% refund of their federal taxes. They pay no income tax and yet will receive additional tax refunds of up to $1,000.

Let's look a little deeper, shall we ...

Obama would repeal the Bush tax cuts of 2001 and 2003. Contrary to popular liberal myth, this tax cut benefits the small taxpayer as well as big business. Repealing this tax cut will, in effect, raise your taxes. Common sense says this is a tax increase.

Increasing taxes on businesses will only result in higher prices for consumers. It's called pass-thru. The businesses expenses (which includes taxes), increases and they pass-thru the increase to the consumer. While not technically an increase in individual taxes, it does add to the cost of goods which does affect the individual.

While it is popular to talk about excess profits by the oil industry, the fact is that over the 25 years ending in 2005, the oil industry paid over 2.2 TRILLION dollars in taxes. [READ MORE]. While it is popular, maybe even fun, to trash the oil industry, perhaps the question should be asked of Congress: "Where the heck did the 2.2 TRILLION go?".

It is too bad that the Republican Party and John McCain don't have the 'stones' to stand up and fight the lies and misstatements of the Obama campaign but that sems to be the reality. This makes it even more imperative that each and every one of us do our own digging, find our own sources of information that we can trust and decuide for ourselves.

Make no mistake about this: this election is not about political parties - it is for our very future. Please vote and please use that vote for the good of our country.

Just who are the racists?

Not to be outdone in their efforts to force Obama down the collective gullets of America, some black, elected officials are playing the tired old "race card". [READ MORE].

“He’s ‘not one of us?’” Mr. Meeks said, referring to a comment Sarah Palin made at a campaign rally on Oct. 6 in Florida. “That’s racial. That’s fear. They know they can’t win on the issues, so the last resort they have is race and fear.”

What a crock of bovine excrement. But don't take just my word for it, read the full quote in question from Gov. Palin:

“Our opponent,” Ms. Palin told donors in Englewood, Colo., “is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he’s palling around with terrorists who would target their own country.”

She added, “This is not a man who sees America like you and I see America,” she said. “We see America as a force of good in this world. We see an America of exceptionalism.”

For starters, I don't see the words "He's not one of us". Beyond that, Gov. Palin was speaking to donors, folks who happen to agree with her political position. She also happened to be speaking the truth.

Methinks the elected black officials are trying very hard to invent an issue and are once again resorting to the race card. They are trying to fire up fear in black voters and that my friends is the act of a racist. They are trying to play upon those weak minded whites who are gullible enough to believe that being white automatically makes you a racist.

Isn't it about time someone stood up and said 'enough is enough'? Haven't we had this bovine excrement thrown in our faces long enough?

Believing that Obama's relationship with a known and proven terrorist such as Bill Ayers shows a major lack of good judgement does not make you a racist. Believing that Obama's socialist policies will ruin America does not make you a racist. And voting for a white candidate instead of a black candidate does not make you a racist.

The definition of "racist" as listed by dictionary.com is as follows:

1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.

Perhaps if these elected, black officials would review the definition, spend less time looking for "coded" phrases that indicate racism and actually address the issues, they might be seen as a group worthy of serious consideration.

There are racists in America and they dwell amongst every race - not just whites, but there is no proof that they majority of Americans are racists. Isn't it time that we stop reacting like puppets every time some political charlatan falsely accuses us of being a racist?

Americans of all colors are first and foremost Americans. And folks, we deserve better than cheap rhetorical tricks from clowns who make their living feeding at the public trough.

Another Boring night

Round 2 of the Presidential Debates ended a few minutes ago and I already wish I had spent the night hitting myself in the head with a hammer rather than listening to the same old drivel. Despite the fact that neither candidate stuck to the time limits they agreed upon, neither one ever gave a straight, to the point the answer. Heck, sometimes you had to wonder what question they were even answering.

While I didn't expect Obama to lambast the crooks in Congress for their part in this financial mess we are told currently exists, I did expect McCain to address the roles of Barney Frank, Christopher Dodd and the rest of the liberal Congress. He didn't.

This more or less set the tone for the rest of the so-called debate: a boring repetition of the same crap they have been shoveling for over two years.

Perhaps the problem was at least partially due to the format and selection of questions? This was supposed to be a Town Hall debate but the only similarity to a Town Hall debate was having common folks on the same stage with the candidates. The questions were preselected by Tom Brokaw thus eliminating any spontaneous give and take between the candidates and the audience.

It may come as a surprise to Browkaw, the candidates, MSM and the D.C Beltway insiders but we are interested in more than foreign policy questions. For instance:

1. What is your position on abortion - is it right or wrong?

2. What is your position on the Second Amendment?

3. Do you support amnesty for illegal criminal aliens?

4. Would you support efforts to mandate English as the official language of business and government?

5. What is your position on gay marriage - allow it or not?

6. Should a candidate be judged, at least in part, upon their past associations?

7. You both talk about change - explain clearly what you mean by change and what changes you are going to try and bring about?

8. ACORN, amongst others, have a proven track record of voter registration fraud. What will you do to stop this?

9. Senator Obama, are you aware that George Bush is not running for office?

Presidential Debates are supposed to mean something, are supposed to help educate the voters and clarify the positions of the candidates. Judged by these standards, this years debates have been nothing by one large waste of time.

Does McCain Have the 'Stones' To Fight Back?

During their first so-called debate, John McCain stood by passively and allowed Barry Obama to say just about anything he wanted regardless of the truth or accuracy of the statements. If Mr. McCain was betting on the mainstream media (MSM) to point out the inaccuracies and lies, he was placing a losing bet in a rigged game.

Tomorrow, October 7, is round two of the great staged Presidential debates of 2008. Barry Obama, and most likely his trusty teleprompter, will once again face off against John McCain. While it is tempting to take bets on the outcome, I suspect it will be declared an Obama victory and once again McCain will stand around like a tired old man afraid to speak out or attack the lies.

But there is one tactic that Mr. McCain could use that would save his failing campaign: he can fight back!. Rather than relying upon Gov. Palin to do his heavy lifting, it is high time that the so-called "Maverick" get into the game and show the American people that he is not a punching bag for Obama and his buddies in MSM. Rather than relying upon friendly parties in the blogosphere to fight his fights for him, it is long past time the "Maverick" to help himself.

Mr. McCain should realize that there are literally millions of voters who are still looking for a reason to vote for him and not just to vote against Obama. Many of these millions are still searching for a strong voice to speak out against the lies and inaccuracies of the left: actually showing some spine in a face to face debate would go a long way towards convincing these voters that McCain is indeed a viable leader and a clearly better choice than Barry Obama.

Who really supported deregulation of Fannie Mae?

Oh my, oh my. The facts regarding the Congressional malfeasance that set the stage for the Bailout Bill continue to come out. This time it is Congressman Barney Frank, Dem/liberal, MA. and his glaring conflict of interest.

WASHINGTON — Unqualified home buyers were not the only ones who benefited from Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank’s efforts to deregulate Fannie Mae throughout the 1990s.

So did Frank’s partner, a Fannie Mae executive at the forefront of the agency’s push to relax lending restrictions.

Now that Fannie Mae is at the epicenter of a financial meltdown that threatens the U.S. economy, some are raising new questions about Frank's relationship with Herb Moses, who was Fannie’s assistant director for product initiatives. Moses worked at the government-sponsored enterprise from 1991 to 1998, while Frank was on the House Banking Committee, which had jurisdiction over Fannie.

Both Frank and Moses assured the Wall Street Journal in 1992 that they took pains to avoid any conflicts of interest. Critics, however, remain skeptical.

"It’s absolutely a conflict," said Dan Gainor, vice president of the Business & Media Institute. "He was voting on Fannie Mae at a time when he was involved with a Fannie Mae executive. How is that not germane?

"If this had been his ex-wife and he was Republican, I would bet every penny I have - or at least what’s not in the stock market - that this would be considered germane," added Gainor, a T. Boone Pickens Fellow. "But everybody wants to avoid it because he’s gay. It’s the quintessential double standard." [READ MORE]

Most of the east coast based mainstream media (MSM) is jumping through hoops to avoid reporting anything critical of their Democrat/liberal friends in Congress - many of them the very same people who shoved the huge Bailout Bill down the throats of American taxpayers. And of course, the Dems/liberals themselves are blaming especially McCain, all of which is dutifully reported by their puppets in the MSM.

As for the Bailout Bill itself, the original price was estimated at $700 BILLION. With the Senate Sweeteners (pork and earmarks) the cost rises to a minimum of $850 BILLION with a very real possibility of reaching $1.8 TRILLION. [Click here to see the projected cost numbers].

We have been trying to find somewhere in the over 400 page bill where the polpigs mention how we are supposed to pay for this bailout Bill but alas, no luck so far.

Biden is right about one thing - this is the most important election most of us will ever participate in. This may be our last serious chance to remove the liberals of both parties from public office. Either we do so now or pay for our stupidity later.

Senate Bailout Bill Sweetners

Perhaps we should have titled this editorial "See the political piggies feeding at the trough"? After digging into several sources to find out just what this massive, over $700 billion bill contained, it has become painfully obvious that one of the primary purposes of the bailout bill is to provide earmarks to special interests in a bill that will not be vetoed. In other words, the boys and girls on Capitalk Hill are trying to sneak their pet projects through by taking advantage of what we are told is an emergency.

Taxpayers For Common Sense has a good piece listing ten of the more obvious pieces of pork [READ MORE]. This include such vital matters as:

1. Sec. 503. Exemption from excise tax for certain wooden arrows designed for use by children

2. Sec. 317. Seven-year cost recovery period for motorsports racing track facility

3. Sec. 308. Increase in limit on cover over of rum excise tax to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands

4. Sec. 301. Extension and modification of research credit

5. Sec. 504. Income averaging for amounts received in connection with the Exxon Valdez litigation

6. Sec. 601. Secure rural schools and community self-determination program.

7. Sec. 201. Deduction for state and local sales taxes (States that benefit include Texas, Nevada, Florida, Washington and Wyoming)

8. Sec 502. Provisions related to film and television productions

9. Sec. 325. Extension and modification of duty suspension on wool products; wool research fund; wool duty refunds

10. Sec. 309. Extension of economic development credit for American Samoa

There are other items that have been widely reported on various news sources, icluding FOXNews.com. Amongst these are :

—Provide business tax breaks, including for production of, investment in, and use of renewable fuels.

—Require group health plans that include mental health or addiction treatment to provide coverage for those conditions that is equitable to other medical coverage.

—Increase personal credits against the AMT, shielding more than 20 million taxpayers from the tax.

—Grant tax relief to victims of natural disasters in the Midwest and elsewhere.

—Extend through 2011 a program that funds rural schools and local governments that have low property-tax bases because they lie within or are adjacent to federal lands.

—Extend until end of 2009 individual tax breaks, including deductions for higher education costs and teachers' personal expenses.

—Increase, from $100,000 to $250,000, the limit on federal bank deposit insurance.

As you can see, what started out as an emergency measure to bailout Fannie Mae and others has grown into a huge conglomeration of items that are not at all related to the supposed crisis.

"Why has this happened?" you might ask. Political greed and an attempt to buy the votes of members of the House by funding their pet projects and causes.

In our digging around we have noticed something else that's rather interesting. We are not finding any detailed information explaining how the bailout and all the "sweeteners" are going to be paid for. We know that we taxpayers are going to be stuck with the bill but how is the bill going to be paid for? Even if you repeal the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts and immediately stop the Iraqi war, the government still does not have enough money and we would be paying higher taxes. [READ MORE]

So we are about to go $700 billion further in the hole to cover up for Congressional malfeasance (READ MORE], and we haven't started to talk about the planned expenditure of either Presidential candidate, especially Obama.

Isn't it about time we told the big spenders in Congress that they can pack their bags and get out of town and out of our lives? It is not to late to take our country back.

It Ain't Over Baby

For those of us who do not worship at the alter of the political messiah, Barack Hussien Obama, it sure must seem like it's all over. Heck, some of the talking heads of mainstream media are already claiming that the race is over [READ].

Well hell, we might as well all just give up, fold the tents, pack it in, and retreat into our hovels with our guns and Bibles and wait for the government to take care of us all.

Or we can get angry and stand and fight back.

Reject the lies of mainstream media - there is a wealth of information documenting just who exactly Obama really is, what he really stands for, who his supporters are, where his money is coming from and what he wants to do to the American Dream. Take the time to do a bit of searching and reading and decide for yourself.

Reject the lies and spin that is oozing out from the D.C. Beltway - these are the same people who have set the stage for the failure of Fannie Mae and others with stupid government mandated lending policies. [READ MORE] Why should we trust them now?

Reject the attacks and lies heaped upon Gov. Palin [READ MORE]. Folks, the pundits, politicians and talking heads attacking Gov. Palin are not just attacking Palin, they are attacking each and every one of the average Americans that live outside of the D.C. Beltway. They look down their noses at any one who is not a part of the incestuous cesspool that exists inside the D.C. Beltway.

America has become a great nation not because of politicians or community organizers or by tax and spend policies. We have become great because of of the people who believe in and live by the principles upon which this nation was formed such as individual freedom, liberty, faith and the equal opportunity to pursue the American dream.

Take this election very seriously folks. Our future and the future of our children will be directly affected by the way we vote in November. We owe it ot future generations to stand up and fight for America, to throw out each any every liberal/socialist in office and to reject the most liberal socialist Presidential candidate in recent memory.

Please take a few minutes to think for yourself. Pray for guidance and the wisdom to see through the slime and lies. Our future depends upon each and every one of us. The question is will we act like whipped puppies or stand up as strong and free Americans?
