Thanks for the warning Sen. Biden

Sen. Joe Biden has once again given us a reason to question the wisdom of elected Barack Obama to be our President and leader of the free world.

ABC News' Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.

"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy." [READ MORE]

Sen. Biden continues:

"I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate," Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. "And he's gonna need help. And the kind of help he's gonna need is, he's gonna need you - not financially to help him - we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right."

Let me see if I understand what Sen biden is telling us.

1. If we elect Obama, there WILL BE an international crisis within six months.

2. The handling of the situation will be questioned and Obama's support will dwindle.

Is this the "Change" that Obama is going to bring about? Personally, I am still searching trying to find out just what "change" Obama is going to make and not finding any answers unless you consider taking my even more tax dollars from the middle class and giving that money away as entitlements to those who don't work.

Folks, particularly those who are either planning to vote for Obama or, worse yet, thinking about sitting out the election: please think about what you are doing, who you are supporting and what the longterm cost to America will be. Put aside party politics and think of the country first.

There's something more here and I can't quite put my finger on it.

Taken as it is without much thought and excepting the last sentence by Biden (quoted in the original post):

• Al-qaeda tests the U.S. again like they have for a while.
• Some other crackpot tests us.

Reasonable. Test our leader. Not the first time and won't be the last.

However, this is where I need to put the tin foil hat on:
"Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right"

What in the hell does this mean? Like the current Iraq war?

Is he going to attack somewhere else? Is he (as I reach for the roll of tin foil), going to put his national civilian security force in place and thump on the American people? Get his foot in the door with the Fairness Doctrine then round up all other dissenters?

Also find it odd that Biden mentions:
"And the kind of help he's gonna need is, he's gonna need you - not financially to help him - we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him."

Obama supporters to stand with him to fight against dissenters? Non-financial??

I really hope I'm being ultra paranoid. But, Biden is a crank, so who knows what he's going on about. He thinks "jobs" is a 3 letter word.

"Stand up Chuck let them see ya...."

Good comments.

this whole speech by biden is, if nothing else, spooky. Considering that he was just given a security and issues briefing as part of the transition process, a common happening in all elections, one has to wonder what Slow Joe heard that makes him come out with something like this.

In nature, the strong always attack the weak. It sounds like Slow Joe thinks the rest of the world will perceive Obama as a wimp and try to push him around.

While I do think Obama is a wimp, I am not sure if I would agree with Slow Joe since he has been wrong almost all of the time when it comes to foreign policy.
