Political Prostitution On Parade

In addition to Louisiana Democrat Senator Mary Landrieu, who sold her vote in favor of Obamacare for somewhere between $100 and $300 million dollars in added benefits that will help her re-election efforts, we can now add the name of Senator Ben Nelson, Democrat Nebraska to the list of politicians who have sold their vote.

And what is the price that induces liberal Democrat Senator Nelson to abandon his pro-life supporters and bend over for his masters in the Democrat party?

Under the new abortion provisions, states can opt out of allowing plans to cover abortion in the new insurance exchanges the bill would set up, to serve individuals who lack coverage through their jobs. Plus, enrollees in plans that do cover abortion procedures would pay for the coverage with separate checks -- one for abortion, one for the rest of any health-care services.

Nelson secured full federal funding for his state to expand Medicaid coverage to all individuals below 133 percent of the federal poverty level. Other states must pay a small portion of the additional cost. He won concessions for qualifying nonprofit insurers and for Medigap providers from a new insurance tax, and was able to roll back cuts to health savings accounts.

Federally funded abortions and extra goodies for the residents of his state paid for by the rest of us. Said another way, non-Nebraska taxpayers will be funding additional benefits for Nebraska that Nelson will tout and use to buy votes.

Virtually every reputable poll shows that American citizens do not favor this Obamacare plan and yet the liberal Democrat party and it's mushminded members continue to try push it down our throats. Thanks to political prostitution this onerous 2000 plus page bill is closer than ever to becoming the law of the land.

Is it any wonder that faith in elected officials is lower than ever?

Spend Your Way Out Of Debt - the Obama Way

Anyone who has ever sat around the kitchen table trying to balance their home budget or has had to struggle with a business budget knows that you can't spend your way out of economic problems and debt. We refer to this as "common sense".

In the high-powered world of liberal politics, however, this "common sense" is ignored. Once again Obama is calling upon Congress and the American people to spend more money to try and fix our current economic woes [read more].

Let's see if this makes sense: our national debt is skyrocketing already, government run health care and cap and trade will only add to that, private sector businesses are laying off thousands of people and Obama wants to spend more money. And where does the money come from that Obama wants to spend? As always, from the same taxpayers who are already struggling financially.

Government jobs and jobs created with temporary government spending do not boost the economy. Those jobs have to be paid for somehow and that means the taxpayer gets hit again.

If Obama and his liberal minions were serious they would lower taxes and let the private sector do what it is best equipped to do and that is create jobs and economic growth. They would do all they could to get government out of the way and the free market system operate without government imposed constraints.

All of these bills and debt being run up by Congress and Obama are going to come due someday. Somebody is going to have to pay and that somebody is you, me, our kids and our grandkids.

Sen. Joe Biden has once again given us a reason to question the wisdom of elected Barack Obama to be our President and leader of the free world.

ABC News' Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.

"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. Sen. Biden continues:

"I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate," Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. "And he's gonna need help. And the kind of help he's gonna need is, he's gonna need you - not financially to help him - we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right."

Let me see if I understand what Sen biden is telling us.

1. If we elect Obama, there WILL BE an international crisis within six months.

2. The handling of the situation will be questioned and Obama's support will dwindle.

Is this the "Change" that Obama is going to bring about? Personally, I am still searching trying to find out just what "change" Obama is going to make and not finding any answers unless you consider taking my even more tax dollars from the middle class and giving that money away as entitlements to those who don't work.

Folks, particularly those who are either planning to vote for Obama or, worse yet, thinking about sitting out the election: please think about what you are doing, who you are supporting and what the longterm cost to America will be. Put aside party politics and think of the country first.

Obama - Biden : This is change?

For the past several days we have been inundated with a flood of discussion, analysis and opinions from the Mainstream media (MSM), all designed to convince us that with the naming of Joe Biden as his VP choice, the new messiah Obama has now all but wrapped up the elections this fall. But something doesn't ring true.

For starters, Obama has campaigned on 'Change' and yet he has picked one of the ultimate Washington D.C. insiders as his VP. Somehow 35 years in the Senate just doesn't sound like 'Change'. If anything it sounds like more of the same old political party garbage.

Then there is the matter of Biden being able to deliver Pennsylvania for the Democrat/socialists in November. While he was born in Pennsylvania, the fact is that he has not lived there for over 50 years.

We are also being told that Biden brings balance to the ticket. When I first heard one of the MSM talking heads say this I almost busted a gut laughing. Balance? Two ultra-liberals do not make for a balanced ticket. Just how stupid does the MSM and the Democrat/socialist party think we are?

Folks, in the Obama/Biden ticket what we have are two of the most liberal Senators in Washington D.C. We have a ticket that is staunchly anti-2nd Amendment, pro-abortion and infanticide, very big government and tax and spend liberal. This ticket does what I thought would be impossible and that is to make uber-liberal George McGovern appear to be a moderate.

Having disposed of Senator Clinton with a campaign that promised 'Change', Obama has now come full circle back to more of the same old garbage.

It will never be more important for conservatives to work to make sure that this ticket fails in November. It really is not about supporting McCain - it is about supporting and defending our way of life.

The ObamaMessiah's Great New Oil Policy

The ObamaMessiah has announced his brandy new, spanking fresh oil policy [read]. The man portrayed as representing change and a fresh approach to government and politics, has come up with THE plan. Or has he?

ObamaMessiah is calling for Congress to close a tax loophole signed into law by Bill Clinton. This particular gift from Bubba was a loophole that has allowed oil speculators to run wild. In and of itself, this is a good idea. However, it is hardly an "activist, populist approach to regulating business". He is simply taking credit for the efforts made by many others before him.

The problem with this "oil policy" is that it is a one-trick pony and will not lower gas prices one cent nor develop an iota of new resources. Rather than drill for proven reserves, ObamaMessiah like all liberals (aka progressives), is simply pushing for even greater government control of private industry. Rather than really fix a problem, they choose to set up a government entity to make things even worse.

Hey ObamaMessiah, if rehashed liberal policies is the best you can come up, perhaps you best can this "Change we can believe in" crap and go back to being the JUNIOR Senator from Illinois.

The question is this : are we going to fall for this garbage again or are we going to kick the liberals out of office at all levels of government.
