It Doesn't Make Sense

Gasoline and food prices continue to skyrocket. Meanwhile the US Senate debates the Warner-Lieberman bill, a measure designed to imposes "a cap on the amount of greenhouse gases an industrial sector can release. Companies that exceed that cap could buy emission allowances from greener businesses in an open market."

"For refiners, the bill would act like a tax on carbon dioxide, a leading greenhouse gas released when fossil fuels are burned. The total price hit would reach 60 cents, the study predicts.

About 80 percent of that would be passed on to consumers."

Gasoline and food prices continue to skyrocket. Meanwhile, huge subsidies and government support programs for ethanol production continue despite the impact to food supplies and ground water.

Gasoline and food prices continue to skyrocket. Meanwhile our government urges foreign oil producers to increase production while refusing to allow our own damned oil industry to access and process our huge underground reserves.

Gasoline and food prices continue to skyrocket. Meanwhile us idiots in Minnesota will see our gas taxes increases two more times in 2008 (August 1 and October 1).

Well folks, we fell for all of the empty promises and look what it has gotten us. And now we have a different collection of liars promising the sky, "change you can believe in", free government (taxpayer provided) services and a life free of any risk or danger. The question is this : are we going to fall for this garbage again or are we going to kick the liberals out of office at all levels of government.

Use your brain. Use your common sense. Use your vote.

"Cap & trade" is a modern version of "from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs"

And this will be at gunpoint, my fellow comrades.

Here's something that will shed an enormous amount of light on this GW hysteria:

http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/06/global_whining_vs_the_truth.html

Read it. Don't have time? Make time. Turn off the TV. Go to sleep a little later. Its worth it.

Then don't stop there. Research. Too much trouble? How much trouble will it be figuring out how much carbon you used the past year and sending in taxes accordingly?

This nuttery can still be stopped.

The truth is out there.

thanks for the link Resistance

have read and printed out the information for future reference.

I fully agree that folks should research and do some serious thinking about this -- and other issues. Far too many Americans are letting special interests, including their unions, tell them what to think.

man made global warming is a lie. the climate changes - always has and always will. did so long before man and will do so long after we are gone.

rather than fight nature, the objective should be to adapt to the changes.
